Preparing Your Juniors
for College Math

State policies associated with the PWR Act require that new projected readiness policies be used to determine if a high school junior is projected ready for college math when they begin college. These policies apply to all juniors, not just those who are candidates for transitional math. Juniors who are projected ready can be recommended for math courses above Algebra 2.

Students who are not projected ready may be eligible for transitional math their senior year. There are required policies to determine who is eligible and which transitional math pathway is best for students.
